The California Cogeneration Council (CCC) represents operating cogeneration facilities located throughout the state. These Combined Heat and Power (CHP) facilities are integrated into schools, hospitals, food processors, paper manufacturers and other diverse California businesses. CCC member companies operate 31 different cogeneration projects, which produce about 1,300 megawatts of electricity—enough power to serve nearly 1 million homes.
